George A. Guido

George Guido currently serves as the Executive Director of Alliance Development & Stakeholder Relations in the Corporate Affairs division of AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, LP, responsible for overseeing US alliance building and charitable contributions at the community, state and national levels. He has been with AstraZeneca since 2004, originally joining the company in its Washington, DC office, as the Director of Federal Alliances responsible for leading and developing strategic alliances with national patient, professional and other health-related organizations.
Mr. Guido has more than 20 years experience in alliance development. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, he was Director of Worldwide Constituency Relations at Burson-Marsteller, a global public relations/public affairs firm. During his 10 years at Burson, Mr. Guido represented the pharmaceutical, food & beverage and energy industries and successfully created and implemented national and global stakeholder outreach programs to help address issues, raise brand awareness and provide a forum to communicate messages to key constituencies, the media and the public. He also spent 8 years working in community-based and national non-profit organizations.
Mr. Guido currently represents AstraZeneca as incoming chair of the PhRMA Alliance Section, serves as Board President of the National Education Association's (NEA) Health Information Network, Board Member of the Nurse Practitioner Healthcare Foundation, Membership Committee of the National Health Council, and Immediate Past Chair of the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition.
