Reproductive Health Care
Reproductive Health is an important element of full-spectrum care. The current healthcare environment in the US has created fear and anxiety for women and their clinicians, prompted by uncertainty about availability of services, coverage for care, and access to clinicians. Education and training that build solutions for reproductive healthcare will help to alleviate some of that uncertainty.
NPHF has partnered with the California Academy of Family Physicians (CAFP) to present two live programs entitled "Reproductive Health Care: Conversations for Clinicians and Their Patients." The 45-60 minute case-based, interactive sessions will incorporate a wide range of activities to promote conversations about this important topic.
Learning objectives for Live Activities include:
- Open conversations with patients about reproductive life planning
- Engage in patient-centered counseling about reproductive life planning, including prescribing appropriate contraceptive options and emergency contraception, and managing chronic medical conditions using evidence-based guidelines
- Discuss and correct reproductive health myths
